Tulsa, Okla.-based BOK Financial Corp., as part of its expansion strategy, said it will buy 17 branches in New Mexico from BankAmerica Corp. for an undisclosed price. The purchases would give BOK its first branches in the state. The company already operates in Texas and Arkansas. San Francisco-based BankAmerica is selling the branches as part of its $60-billion merger with NationsBank Corp.

Fremont-based Premisys Communications said it named Chief Operating Officer Nicholas J. Williams president and chief executive. Premisys co-founder and CEO Raymond C. Lin was elected chairman.
