Alyn Corp.: The Irvine composites maker lost $3.5 million, or 33 cents a share, in the second quarter, compared with a net loss of $1.5 million, or 14 cents a share, in the same year-earlier period. Revenue fell to $32,000, from $212,000. For the six months, the company reported a net loss of $6.3 million, or 58 cents a share, compared with a net loss of $2.4 million, or 22 cents a share, for the first half of 1997. Revenue declined to $61,000 from $254,000.
