Arce, McPeak, Fontana, Rock Reach Finals

The four spots for today’s finale of the Op Best of the Beach Invitational volleyball tournament were determined Saturday at Huntington Beach.
Lisa Arce, the top-seeded player in the tournament, and second-seeded Holly McPeak advanced, along with fourth-seeded Barbra Fontana sixth-seeded Angela Rock.
All four went 2-1 Saturday in a format where players switch partners for each game.
Fontana earned a berth in today’s finals, which begin at 1 p.m., when she and Arce beat Linda Hanley and Elaine Youngs, 15-3, in Saturday’s last match.
Rock advanced when she and Deb Richardson beat McPeak and Nancy Reno, 5-1, in a one-minute playoff.
Players will receive $4,000 for each victory today. The first-place finisher will win an additional $14,000. Second place is worth an additional $7,000, third place $6,000 and fourth place $4,000.
