A raid on an abandoned La Colonia house that was a hangout for local gang members netted three suspected drug dealers and a small quantity of cocaine, Oxnard police said Thursday.
The trio of Oxnard residents--Ausencio Garcia, 18, Francisco Quiroz, 20, and a juvenile--were arrested on suspicion of possessing cocaine for sale after a brief foot pursuit, police said.
Police also seized cocaine with a street value of $800 that the trio had unsuccessfully attempted to destroy and an unspecified amount of cash from the house in the 400 block of Bonita Avenue, authorities said.
Wednesday’s raid stemmed from a two-month investigation of drug activity in the vandalized home, police said.
