Re “3 N. Ireland Boys Latest Victims in Deadly Hate,” July 13:
Was anyone else angered (actually saddened) by the comment that the so-called Orangemen delayed their parade from Sunday to Monday to “preserve the sanctity of the Sabbath”? I seriously doubt the Orangemen understand the meaning of the Sabbath. Their leader’s response to the horrific death of the three innocent children seems to confirm their lack of understanding.

Let us hope the death of the wee Quinn lads will bring the Irish dissidents to their senses. Let the boys go down in history as martyrs whose tragic deaths made a difference.

If the Protestant Orange Order were to get it--that they are being held hostage to their egos and not hosts to God--they would choose a new activity. Some sort of win-win effort with a great future of mutual benefits.
