Health Fair at Pier Plaza Will Offer Free Screenings

The Beach Cities Health District will host Healthfest ’98 at the Hermosa Beach Pier Plaza on Aug. 1.
Free screenings for skin cancer, blood pressure and cholesterol will be featured and information will be available on health concerns, self-defense, earthquake preparedness and CPR. A Red Cross Bloodmobile will be on hand.
The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
