Passengers of American Airlines looking to redeem frequent-flier miles for first-class or business-class seats will need more miles starting Feb. 1, the carrier said. Travelers will need anywhere from 10,000 to 25,000 more miles than now required to buy or upgrade to premium seats on domestic and international flights. The mileage for coach tickets won’t change. Other airlines said they are studying American’s decision.

Micron Electronics Inc. said it will cut 130 jobs, 5% of its work force. The cuts bring total job reductions at the country’s third-biggest direct seller of personal computers to about 580 this year. Micron Electronics is majority-owned by memory chip maker Micron Technology Inc.
