Regarding David Chute’s article on Joe Dante (“When Size Doesn’t Matter,” July 5):
If Dante feels that the film “Matinee” is “doubly autobiographical,” it is infinitely painful for me, who gave it birth and named it, to once again see a director credited for a screenwriter’s original vision!
