Pitcher Roland De La Maza (St. Genevieve High) of the Kansas City Royals cleared waivers and was sent to Omaha of the triple-A Pacific Coast League.

Brendan Kingman hit a solo home run but the JetHawks fell to Visalia, 6-2, at the Hangar before 4,366 Thursday night. Karl Thompson had two hits and scored a run for Lancaster (10-11).

SUNS

Kadir Villalona had two hits and drove in two runs for Pacific, but the Suns (12-30) lost, 7-6, to Mission Viejo in a Western League game at Mission Viejo.
