First Lady Unveils Logo for Millennium Events
WASHINGTON — First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton on Thursday unveiled a red-white-and-blue logo for her millennium project celebrating the United States’ past and future with the approach of 2000.
“It is designed to use our national symbols to force us to look toward the horizon, a horizon of promise and opportunity that we think really does represent what is the American spirit: always looking toward the future,” she told a small group of reporters.
The logo is to be used for events and projects by the White House Millennium Council, in association with various national nonprofit groups and federal agencies.
