Discounts Offered for Food Donations
In an effort to help feed families in need, merchants along Valley Fair Street in Simi Valley will hold their third annual “Affaire on Valley Fair” on Sunday offering discounts on merchandise to those who donate food.
Beginning at 11 a.m. and continuing until 5 p.m., Valley Fair Street businesses will grant a 10% discount on one item to patrons who donate at least three cans of food.
The food will then be donated to the local Care and Share organization and distributed to needy families.
In addition to the discounts, the charity event will also include live music performances, food and other attractions.
The event will be at the corner of Valley Fair and Tapo streets, where colored balloons will mark the entrance.
