City of Offer Craft, Food Workshops
The city is offering a series of one-session workshops to the bored and ambitious this month, ranging from the art of sushi to the preservation of old photographs.
The first class, making gift baskets, is open to teenagers and adults. It runs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Edison Community Center, 21377 Magnolia Ave., and costs $14. Information: (714) 960-8870.
Preserving old photos and creating family heirlooms runs from 7 to 10 p.m. July 23 at the Murdy Community Center, 7000 Norma Ave. Residents need to bring eight to 10 photographs with which to work. Cost for the class is $16, with another $5 due to the instructor at the first session. Registration: (714) 960-8895.
Students will pay $33 to discover the secrets of sushi from 7 to 9:30 p.m. July 28 at the Murdy center. A fee of $9 will be due to the instructor that evening. Information: (714) 960-8895.
The last class, making ice cream, is offered from 6:30 to 9 p.m. July 29, at the Edison Community Center, . for $32 and a materials fee of $8.
