Panel to Discuss Immigration on KCRW
An ethnically diverse panel of authors, race-relations experts and academicians are scheduled to discuss immigration and its effect on Los Angeles during a live radio broadcast today from the Skirball Cultural Center and Museum.
Warren Olney, host of “Which Way, L.A.?”, the KCRW-FM (89.9) radio show, will moderate the seven-member panel that will include Joe Hicks, director of the city’s human relations commission; Christine Phan, publisher of Variasians magazine; and Roger Waldinger, author of “Ethnic Los Angeles.”
The topics will center on “the cultural consequences of immigration,” said Frances Anderton, a producer for “Which Way, L.A.?”
The discussion, open to the public, will start at 12:30 p.m. The Skirball Center is at 2701 N. Sepulveda Blvd., near the Getty Center.
