Man Dies of Injuries Sustained in Fall

A man who suffered head injuries after falling from a 30-foot cliff last week has died, authorities said.
Richard Michael Thompson, 38, described as a transient, slipped and fell from a cliff on South Camino Real on Thursday about 2:15 p.m, said Deputy Joseph Luckey of the Orange County coroner’s office.
Thompson died Monday at Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center in Mission Viejo.
