Southern Baptists
Although I am neither a Christian nor a Republican, I found George Shahinian’s July 1 letter to be quite amusing. He wrote: “Considering recent expressions by Republican Southern Baptists, one wonders whether their religious views are compatible with the discharge of [presidential] responsibilities.”
Perhaps he has forgotten that President Clinton and Vice President Gore are churchgoing Southern Baptists!
