* In Duarte, fireworks are not permitted in any area of the city north of Royal Oaks Park.
Only 37 of Los Angeles County’s 88 cities still permit so-called “safe and sane” fireworks. For information about other fireworks celebrations and questions about fireworks in your area, call the county Fire Department at (800) 900-3473.
The penalty for using fireworks in unincorporated areas of the county and cities that outlaw personal fireworks, including sparklers is from $500 to $1000 and/or six months in jail.
