Beach Parking
Parking charges for beach lots like Will Rogers in Pacific Palisades and Zuma in north Los Angeles County are excessive at upward of $6. The exorbitant parking charges cause: unsafe pedestrian activities leading to deadly accidents; unsafe traffic flow leading to deadly and costly traffic accidents; excessive activity in residential areas resulting in trash, noise and parking problems; parking lots that are two-thirds empty.
The cost of parking in these lots should be reduced to $2 or $3 a day. This would greatly increase lot usage and reduce street parking, save lives, make the neighbors happy and increase parking revenues.
