* Citicorp is closing credit card processing offices in Salt Lake City, Denver and Columbus, Ga., to cut costs and improve efficiency. The nation’s second-largest bank will offer jobs in other locations to the 1,900 employees affected by the closings.

* PacifiCorp said it reported second-quarter earnings of about 9 cents a share, well below analyst expectations of 30 cents, because of losses from trading electricity contracts in the eastern U.S. last week. The power company said full-year and third-quarter earnings will also be lowered by an amount yet to be determined.
