Times Mirror Appoints 6 Vice Presidents

Janet Clayton, 43, editorial page editor and vice president of the Los Angeles Times, and Robert G. Magnuson, 46, senior vice president, regional editions, for The Times, were among six executives named Thursday as vice presidents of Times Mirror Co., parent of The Times and other newspapers. Others named as Times Mirror vice presidents were John S. Carroll, editor and senior vice president of the Baltimore Sun; Anthony Marro, editor and executive vice president of Newsday; William J. Rowe, publisher and chief executive of the Advocate and Greenwich Time in Connecticut; and Gary K. Shorts, publisher and chief executive of the Morning Call in Allentown, Pa.
