Manning to Join Fenwick, Teammate at New Mexico
Antelope Valley High receiver Joe Manning made a commitment Tuesday to play at New Mexico, where he will join Antelope quarterback Justin Mobley. Mobley committed to the Lobos during a recruiting trip last weekend.
“It was a hard decision,” said Manning, who also considered Fresno State and Louisville. “But after seeing the community and coaches, I knew New Mexico was where I really wanted to go.”
Manning (5 feet 11, 175 pounds), selected second-team All-Valley by The Times, caught a team-high 31 passes for 569 yards and seven touchdowns last season.
The offensive coordinator at New Mexico is former Cal State Northridge Coach Jim Fenwick.
