Onyx Acceptance Corp.: The Irvine automobile finance company said net income for the fourth quarter was $660,633, or 10 cents a share, a decline of 22% from $852,064, or 13 cents a share, for the same period of 1996. Revenue grew 81% to $10.5 million from $5.8 million. Net income for the year fell to $2.6 million, or 40 cents a share, from $7.7 million, or $1.35 a share, for 1996. Revenue rose 43% to $36 million from $25.2 million. Onyx attributed the decline in net income primarily to increased loan losses and increased operating expenses from the expansion of business operations.
