Cablevision Systems Corp. is offering to buy electronics retailer Nobody Beats the Wiz for about $98 million and to pay the company’s debts. Wiz, which has been seeking a buyer since it entered Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last month, said most of its lenders approved the proposal. . . . Leaders of the nation’s two largest teacher unions--the National Education Assn. and the American Federation of Teachers--have outlined a preliminary plan to unite, a move that would create the largest single labor force in the country if it’s approved by rank-and-file members later this year.
