Suspect Sought in 2 Recent Sex Assaults
Police were looking Monday for a man who may be responsible for two recent sexual assaults, the latest on Sunday.
That attack occurred in the laundry room of an apartment building in the 2500 block of Kincaid Street, police said. A man followed a 20-year-old tenant into the laundry room about 6:30 p.m. and held her, grabbing her under her skirt, Police Lt. Ron Smith said. The woman screamed and the suspect fled, he said.
The man’s description--white, in his mid- to late-20s, about 6-feet, 180 pounds with brown hair and glasses--matches that of a suspect in another sexual assault that occurred Dec. 23 in the Ralph’s parking lot at 380 E. 17th St., police said.
In that case, a 22-year-old woman was loading her groceries into her car when a man approached her and tried to reach under her skirt as she climbed into the driver’s seat, Smith said.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at (714) 754-5360.
