New Owner for LCP
IRVINE — LCP International Institute, which provides intensive English-language courses at Irvine Valley College and three other West Coast colleges, has been acquired by Kaplan Educational Centers, it was announced Monday.
Kaplan, based in New York, is best known for preparing students for college admissions tests. It said the acquisition is part of an expansion into the growing field of teaching English to speakers of foreign languages.
Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed. Nay Farsadi, president of Irvine-based LCP, will continue in that role, the companies said.
