HIDDEN PEARLS

Pearl Jam’s new album comes out next week, but the band’s fans will look elsewhere and wait a little longer for the recording of the song “Hard to Imagine,” a longtime concert favorite that’s never officially been released. It will be on a soundtrack album for the indie film “Chicago Cab,” a day-in-the-life story of a taxi driver in the Windy City.
The band offered the track after singer Eddie Vedder saw a screening of the film. The album, coming out in April on guitarist Stone Gossard’s Loose Groove label, also features previously unreleased tracks by Supergrass, Helmet’s Page Hamilton, Fu Manchu and Critters Buggin.
