Anaheim Convention Center Ad Deals OKd
Two businesses have received approval to advertise at the Anaheim Convention Center in a deal expected to raise about $850,000, after commissions, for Anaheim. The City Council recently approved a three-year sponsorship agreement worth about $234,000 with Los Angeles Cellular Telephone Co., granting the company rights to advertise on two signs inside the Convention Center. The city reached a second sponsorship agreement with Freedom Communications Inc., which owns the Orange County Register, worth $770,000 over five years. Last year, the council approved an advertising deal with PepsiCo at the Convention Center that will net the city about $635,000 over 10 years. City officials say there is room for more sponsors.
