Denver offensive line coach Alex Gibbs doesn’t consider the media a necessary evil. He simply considers them evil.
Surrounded by a group of reporters, Gibbs explained why he doesn’t want to talk to those who serve as a pipeline to the public.
“It’s not my job,†he said. “They don’t hire me to deal with you folks.â€
Gibbs seemed to relish the thought that the media boycott started by his linemen could spread.
“Next, it could be the quarterbacks,†he said. “Then, it could be the wide receivers who aren’t talking. Then, you have got yourselves a mess. You may have to start paying for interviews.
“I don’t get paid to sell tickets.â€
