St. Bonaventure Stands Alone

St. Bonaventure High hasn’t been to the Southern Section girls’ basketball playoffs in three seasons and hasn’t won a Tri-Valley League title since 1989-90.

That drought may be over.

The Seraphs routed La Reina, 53-35, Thursday night at St. Bonaventure in a showdown of unbeaten league teams.

Junior forward Stacey Howard scored 17 points and senior guard Amy Rosario added 13 points for St. Bonaventure (11-6, 4-0 in league play), which ended a 16-game losing streak against the Regents (6-5, 3-1), the defending league co-champion.
