Vocal Competition to Offer $10,000 Prize

A top prize of $10,000 will be offered to the winner of the Loren L. Zachary Society vocal competition, the finals of which will be held June 7 at the Luckman Theatre at Cal State L.A.
Opera singers (women between the ages of 21 and 33 and men 21 to 35) preparing to enter a professional stage career are invited to apply. Requests in writing should be addressed to Zachary Society, 2250 Gloaming Way, Beverly Hills, CA 90210. The competition takes place in Los Angeles April 28-30. First prize is $10,000, plus a round-trip flight to Europe for auditioning purposes. Each finalist will receive a minimum of $1,000.
Deadline for entries is April 2.
