Project Aims to Lure Students to Science
Starting next fall, science students at Ventura College will combine discussion and experimentation in their study of circuits.
The change in curriculum from the traditional lecture and a separate laboratory is being made possible by a $19,000 grant from the state chancellor’s office.
Once in place, “A Workshop Approach to Electricity and Magnetism--Easing the Transition to Engineering Circuits and Beyond†will better prepare students for circuits, said Colin Terry, physics professor and project coordinator.
