The job of cuddler in the intensive care unit at Children’s Hospital of Orange County is a coveted spot. Volunteers may wait a long time until it’s their turn to hold the babies. The cuddler’s job is to hold the infant when the parents aren’t available--human touch is essential in helping the babies to thrive. Aida Garcia, top, looks over Frank Bailon.
