Cal Lutheran Rallies for 67-62 Victory

Cal Lutheran used a 17-3 run over a seven-minute stretch of the second half to post a 67-62 victory over Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in a Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference basketball game Friday night at Claremont.
Reserve Kate Carpenter scored six consecutive points during the run for the Regals (6-6, 2-0 in SCIAC play).
Brandie Murrish had 12 points and Lexi Miller had 10 for Cal Lutheran.
Antelope Valley 73, Mt. San Jacinto 50--Kristen Phillps had 17 points and Gigi Reed had 15 points for the Marauders in a Foothill Conference game.
Antelope Valley (8-11, 3-2) used a 23-3 run early in the second half to pull away.
Santa Clara 76, Pepperdine 50--Four players scored in double figures for Santa Clara in a West Coast Conference game at Malibu.
Dana Sulenski scored 15 points to lead Pepperdine (12-6, 2-1).
MEN’S TENNIS
Pepperdine 6, San Diego State 1--Eni Ghidirmic won his singles match, 6-1, 6-1, to help the Waves (3-0) to a nonconference victory at Pepperdine.
