Opponent--Seattle Reign.
Time--4 p.m.
Site--Mercer Arena, Seattle.
Television--Fox Sports West 2.
Records--Long Beach 18-12, Seattle 9-21.
Update--No matter how poorly it has played, Seattle seems able to keep the outcome of its games against Long Beach in doubt almost until the end. “I don’t know what it is, but we just do not play well against this team,” StingRay Coach Maura McHugh said after Long Beach lost to Seattle, 88-80, a week ago at the Pyramid. The StingRays are 2-3 against the Reign. One of those losses, Nov. 9 at the Pyramid, was Long Beach’s most painful yet--the night Seattle scored five points in the last seven seconds, winning, 87-85, on a three-point shot at the horn by Shalonda Enis. Long Beach will visit San Jose for the last time Wednesday before breaking for the Jan. 18 ABL All-Star game at Orlando, Fla.
