Slaying of 19-Year-Old Believed Gang-Related

PACOIMA — A 19-year-old Pacoima resident was gunned down this weekend in what authorities say was a gang-related killing.
Jorge Lugo was shot about 10:30 p.m. Friday, while standing in the street in the 11000 block of Sutter Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
An unknown number of suspects fled in what was described as a blue, four-door, “GMC-type vehicle.”
“Based on the investigation so far, either the victim or the suspects were in a gang, so we believe it was a gang-related shooting,” said Det. Lindy Gligorijevic.
Police declined to say whether the victim had a criminal record or if there were witnesses to the incident.
