1 Man Killed, Another Wounded During Fight

One man was shot to death and another critically wounded during a fight, a Sheriff’s Department spokesman said Tuesday.
John Silva and Daniel Garcia, both 20, fought with another man outside apartments in the 9200 block of Burke Street just after 3 p.m. Monday, said Deputy Bob Killeen.
During the fight, the man pulled a handgun, shooting Silva and Garcia, Killeen said. The gunman, described by authorities as in his 20s, fled and remains at large.
Silva was taken to Martin Luther King Jr./Drew Medical Center in Willowbrook, where he was pronounced dead, the deputy said. Garcia was in critical condition Tuesday at St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood, said hospital spokeswoman Katie Mantle.
