Mikels Appointed Board Chairwoman

In an unanimous decision, Judy Mikels on Tuesday was named chairwoman of the Ventura County Board of Supervisors for 1998.
Supervisor Frank Schillo made the motion to appoint Mikels, who represents the Moorpark and Simi Valley area. She replaces Supervisor John K. Flynn.
Supervisor Susan K. Lacey was unanimously chosen vice chairwoman.
