More Quakes Hit Mammoth Lakes

MAMMOTH LAKES, Calif. — Another swarm of earthquakes rattled the area Sunday, three with a magnitude 3.2 or above, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
The strongest quake, with a magnitude 3.6, struck two miles east-southeast of Mammoth Lakes at 4:34 a.m.
It was preceded by two 3.2-magnitude temblors, both centered in the same area, at 4:29 a.m. and 1:11 a.m.
More than 200 earthquakes rippled through the area during the weekend, most of them centered five to seven miles southeast of Mammoth Lakes
The number of quakes in the last week was more than 2,100.
