CYPRESS — Firefighters are investigating a blaze that erupted early Saturday and gutted a one-story home but caused no injuries.
About 1:30 a.m., firefighters were summoned to the 4000 block of Brighton Circle, where they found flames shooting from a house, said Capt. Scott Brown, spokesman for the Orange County Fire Authority.
About 35 firefighters took nearly 20 minutes to control the fire, which caused damages estimated at $130,000.
Nobody was home at the time, and no firefighters were injured. Brown said authorities are trying to determine the cause of the blaze, but it appears to be accidental.
