Health Provider Cited for Support

Cypress College has named PacifiCare its first “Distinguished Business Partner” for supporting charitable and educational causes on campus.
For years, the health care corporation has provided financial and volunteer contributions, college officials said.
“It’s this outstanding support with dollars and human energy that led us to choose PacifiCare as our first Distinguished Business Partner,” said Phil Wendel, president of the board of the college’s foundation.
The college will honor PacifiCare along with nine “Citizens of the Year” at its annual Americana Awards ceremony today at the Disneyland Hotel.
