Heavily traveled Jamboree Road, between Main Street and Michelson Drive, will be widened under a city project expected to begin in April.
The project will add one lane in each direction on the stretch of Jamboree, including a freeway over-crossing.
The project, estimated to cost $8.6 million should take about 18 months.
Temporary lane closures and travel delays are expected, and motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes during the construction.
