Waiting List Forming for Hagan Place Apartments
- Share via
A waiting list is being created for Hagan Place, the county’s only apartment complex for low-income people who are HIV-positive or have AIDS.
Currently, none of the 25 one-bedroom apartments is vacant, said Kristen Toyeas, a district manager at Solari Enterprises Inc., which operates the nonprofit housing program. But last year, five apartments became vacant, and Solari said officials had trouble filling the units, which rent for 30% of a tenant’s monthly household income.
By compiling a waiting list now, Toyeas said, people who need the housing would be able to move in right away.
Applications for Hagan Place, which opened in November 1996, are available in English and Spanish. They can picked up at a number of clinics throughout the county and must be postmarked by April 30. Information: (714) 282-2520.
