Fullerton Rolling Toward Finish Line

The Fullerton women’s basketball team, which lost two of its first three Orange Empire Conference games, has since won nine in a row and has a one-game lead with two left.

Fullerton (24-7, 10-2) hosts Santa Ana (18-7, 7-5) at 5:30 p.m. today. . At the same time, Orange Coast (21-9, 9-3) and Irvine Valley (21-6, 9-3) meet in Irvine, trying to keep pace.

Orange Coast has the added incentive of getting one more shot at Fullerton when the teams meet at 5:30 p.m. Friday at OCC on the final day of the regular season.

Orange Coast has won five in a row and its three conference defeats are by a total of four points. Fullerton beat Orange Coast, 67-65, in their first meeting.
