Memorial Service for Judge Jones Scheduled

A memorial service for Superior Court Judge Frederick A. Jones has been set for 4 p.m. Tuesday in the jury assembly room of the Ventura County Courthouse.
Jones died Tuesday at the UCLA Medical Center. A leukemia patient, he had undergone a bone marrow transplant in January.
A former FBI agent and Ventura County prosecutor, Jones was elected to the Municipal Court in 1979 and appointed to the Superior Court in 1986.
He is survived by his wife, Lana, and sons Travis and Braden.
