Honors for Burbank: Burbank’s youth job training effort and Elmwood Beautification Program were honored as state models Monday, receiving Helen Putnam Awards for Excellence from the California League of Cities. “Burbank has always had an innovative approach to problem solving,” said city development director Bob Tague. “It’s nice to get recognized for it.”
