McCoy Progressing With Free-Throw Shooting

Center Jelani McCoy, a 44% free-throw shooter before this season, went on a six-for-six streak in Saturday’s victory over Oregon State before missing his final two tries.
The six-for-eight performance still upped him to 53.3% this season; over the last four games, McCoy has made 14 of 18 (77.7%) free-throw tries.
“Yeah, it felt real good,” McCoy said. “I’m definitely more comfortable at the line than I was last year.”
Said forward J.R. Henderson: “I was loving it. I know he’s much improved shooting overall, not just at the line--his jump shot is looking much better. I look and see it at practice, he just hasn’t been able to show it to everybody else.”
