Antelopes Get Tipped Over by Palmdale

Kerry Yates scored 29 points, including a basket at the buzzer to lift Palmdale High to a 66-64 victory over ninth-ranked Antelope Valley in a Golden League boys’ basketball game Friday night at Palmdale.
Yates tipped the ball in after it hit the backboard and the rim with one second left after Imad Rodriguez heaved an inbounds pass from the near midcourt.
Josh Speaks had 17 points and Roger Price added 14 for Antelope Valley (16-8, 6-2).
FOOTHILL
Burroughs 46, Hart 43--Kevin Krose scored 20 points for Burroughs (14-9, 4-4) at Hart.
J.T. Stotts paced Hart (15-9, 6-2) with 13 points, eight rebounds and four steals. Hart is tied for first in league with Valencia.
MARMONTE
Agoura 72, Camarillo 56--Marcus Helfman had 19 points, seven rebounds and four blocks for host Agoura (12-10, 6-6). Jeff Stuteville paced Camarillo (8-13, 2-10) with 24 points.
CHANNEL
Oxnard 49, San Marcos 46--Jeff Fouchey’s three-pointer with five seconds remaining gave the Yellowjackets (14-8, 8-4) a come-from-behind upset victory at Oxnard.
The Yellowjackets trailed by 10 points twice in the second half but held San Marcos (19-4, 9-3) scoreless for the final 3:30.
Dos Pueblos 68, Ventura 65--Ryan Holbrook hit a three-pointer with 10 seconds left to give the Chargers (22-2, 12-0) a victory at Ventura.
Jeff Staniland had 16 points for Ventura (6-17, 3-9).
MISSION
Crespi 66, Notre Dame 63--Jordan Johnson had 15 points to help the Celts (12-12, 5-6) win at Notre Dame (10-12, 3-7).
HIGH DESERT
Paraclete 60, Desert 58--Dave Brown scored all 13 of his points in the second half to help the Spirits win at Paraclete (5-14, 3-5).
PACIFIC
Muir 85, Hoover 74--Mark Hull scored 30 points and had 22 rebounds for Hoover at Muir (19-5, 8-0). Zareh Avedian had 16 points for Hoover (15-8, 5-3).
RIO HONDO
La Canada 77, San Marino 62--Matt Moore scored 26 points for the Spartans (20-5, 7-1) to break the school’s career scoring record in a victory at La Canada.
SANTA FE
Bell-Jeff 86, Murphy 77--Ruben Douglas collected 45 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists for the Guards in a victory at Bell-Jeff (15-12, 7-4).
TRI-VALLEY
Fillmore 63, St. Bonaventure 60--Mario Galvez hit six three-point shots and scored 24 points for the Flashes (12-9, 2-4) in a victory at Fillmore.
Jesus Jasso, who scored 17 points for the Flashes, made four free throws in the final 30 seconds.
EAST VALLEY
North Hollywood 74, Canoga Park 71--Keron Wilkerson blocked Vlady Sandoval’s three-point shot with eight seconds to play to preserve the Huskies’ victory at Canoga Park.
Wilkerson scored 30 points for North Hollywood (16-8, 6-2).
Grant 59, Monroe 56--Adir Levy hit four of five free throws in the last two minutes to help the Lancers hang on at Grant. Gilbert Arenas had 23 points for Grant (16-7, 7-1).
WEST VALLEY
Chatsworth 66, Cleveland 58--Josh Rodgers scored six of his 20 points in the third quarter when the Chancellors outscored Cleveland, 18-11, and took command at Chatsworth.
NORTH VALLEY
San Fernando 85, El Camino Real 68--Devin Montgomery had 24 points and Mike Page scored 21 points in the Tigers’ victory at San Fernando.
Birmingham 77, Granada Hills 67--Fahim Hassankhail had 14 points to help the host Braves win.
