Diaz, Sasadeusz Take Manhattan

Cheryl Sasadeusz of Alemany High and Marci Diaz of Canyon have accepted volleyball scholarships to Manhattan College.
Sasadeusz, a 5-foot-10 outside hitter, and Diaz, a 5-8 setter, were respective All-Mission and All-Foothill League selections last season.
BASKETBALL
Richelle Sherman, a freshman forward for the North Hollywood High girls’ team, was declared academically ineligible this week and will miss the rest of the season. Sherman averaged 8.7 points and 6.4 rebounds a game.

The Pleasant Valley Recreation and Park District has scheduled a managers’ information meeting for its spring adult basketball season at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the Camarillo Community Center.
Games will be played in Freedom Gym at Camarillo Airport Mondays through Thursdays beginning March 23. Registration begins March 2, with $175-per-team fees for a 10-game season.
