Reagan Airport Naming Approved

Airport officials decided not to challenge the renaming of National Airport, and by next week, the airport’s granite markers should be draped in fabric signs that proclaim it: “Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.” Airport board members went along with the law despite concerns that the congressional action impinged on local authority over the airport. President Clinton signed the bill on Reagan’s 87th birthday.
