Weather Holds Up Toilet Collection

CAMARILLO — The collection of old toilets after last month’s ultra-low-flush toilet distribution program, scheduled for 8 a.m. until noon today, has been postponed.
Severe flooding caused Camarillo officials to declare a state of emergency Friday, and city crews have been diverted to cleanup and repair activities, said City Manager Bill Little.
“Given the amount of damage some of our homes and businesses sustained . . . we all have more important things to attend to right now,” Little said.
The collection is tentatively rescheduled for Feb. 14. Confirmation of the new date will be announced early next week.
