Mayor to Meet With Residents Saturday

Mayor Mary Ann Jones will hold her first monthly traveling meeting with residents Saturday as part of her effort to keep in touch with community concerns.
Her Outreach Program, the first of its kind in city history, will take place at Cypress Library, 5331 Orange Ave., from 10 a.m. to noon.
“I am interested in making myself available and spend some time chatting with residents to find out their concerns,” Jones said recently.
Informational handouts and artists’ renderings of the $6.5-million Lincoln Avenue bridge upgrade and street improvement project will be on display at the first meeting.
